New Direction for Armenian Youth

Mr. Abe. Chaparian

Mr. Abe Chaparian is the Founder and Executive Director of “New Direction for Armenian Youth.”  The program assists Armenian youth at risk in Los Angeles. 

For the past 15 years, Abe has worked with adolescent and adult substance abuse and psychiatric patients at the Pasadena Community Hospital. He has also worked as a school counselor in various public school districts. Additionally, he works as a marriage, family, and child counselor intern in a Pasadena private practice.

He holds a B.A. Degree - Magna Cum Laude - in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and an M.S. in Counseling from The State of California University, Los Angeles. He is also a third year law student at the University of LaVerne, College of Law.
